The Fast Haven Collective helps people use the housing resources they already have to provide safe, affordable accommodation for someone who needs a little extra support to find stability.
Perhaps you can’t help everyone. But perhaps you can help some one.
There's more than one way to help
The Fast Haven Collective is about looking creatively at the housing resources already within our community.
A spare room
You may have room in your own home and be open to welcoming someone as a lodger or through another suitable arrangement.
A self-contained space
A granny flat, bungalow, converted area or other independent space could become someone's home.
A caravan or relocatable space
In the right circumstances, alternative forms of accommodation may provide another pathway.
An investment property
Property owners may choose to make a rental available at an affordable rate to someone who otherwise faces barriers in the private rental market.
Land or another possibility
Perhaps you have land, are considering building or purchasing something, or simply have an idea we haven't thought of yet.

Why 'Fast Haven Collective'?
The name Fast Haven Collective is inspired by Isaiah 58, a passage that redefines the true meaning of fasting. Here God challenges the idea of fasting as mere ritual and instead calls His people to a different kind of 'fast'...
“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice… to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter…”
— Isaiah 58:6–7
The word fast in our name therefore carries a dual meaning:
It echoes the biblical call to live out a fast through action — by caring for those in need, particularly through hospitality and housing.
It also suggests urgency — a fast response to the critical need for safe, welcoming spaces in our communities.
Haven speaks to the heart of what we hope to provide: a place of refuge, safety, and belonging.
Collective reflects our shared commitment to work together as individuals and church congregations to offer practical hope.
Together, the Fast Haven Collective represents a living response to Isaiah 58: not just words, but a movement of people choosing love, justice, and hospitality - quickly, and together.
